Blake Shelton And Kelly Clarkson Cried After Craig Morgan's 'The Father, My Son, And The Holy Ghost' Performance

After Craig Morgan sang The Father, My Son, And The Holy Ghost on The Kelly Clarkson Show, both Kelly and Blake Shelton were brought to tears. Craig Morgan debuted the song back in July of 2019 and then performed it on Kelly’s show on October 17th.

After a tubing accident on Kentucky Lake in Tennessee, Craig Morgan's son passed away. Distraught by his 19-year-old son Jerry's death, Craig wrote a new song that became The Father, My Son, and the Holy Ghost. The song ended up becoming a hit after receiving celebrity support.

After debuting the song at the Grand Ole Opry, Craig's song got the attention of country stars such as Blake Shelton. The song eventually topped the iTunes charts at number one and Blake Shelton tweeted his congratulations:

“Congratulations @cmorganmusic. This ones for Jerry.”

Craig was then surprised by Blake Shelton himself when he appeared for Morgan's performance of the song on The Kelly Clarkson Show in October. In the video, one can see how Clarkson and Shelton both gave Craig Morgan a standing ovation while crying for his incredibly moving performance.
