These antics included the bear taking some time to enjoy the kiddie pool that was sitting in Regina's backyard. Regina Keller noted that this particular black bear was bigger than any others that she had seen in the region that year so far. He seemed to be a bear on a mission because as soon as he splashed about in the water of the pool for a bit, he laid down and went to sleep.

Regina took the whole incident in stride as it is a normal occurrence for her to have wild animals wander into her backyard. She seems to quite enjoy it. It is not that surprising to find out that she regularly has animal visitors in her yard once one discovers that her property is adjacent to the George Washington National Forest. This is a well-known habitat for many types of animals in Virginia.

It is clear that this black bear was happy to have a quiet place to relax for a bit. He was happy to jump into this pool and even happier to make himself at home and get comfortable. He stayed there chilling out for about an hour. When some of Regina's grandkids showed up, the bear got up and left. It really was a magnificent scene to have the chance to see such an impressive animal up close.

Speaking with CNN, Regina described the unique incident:

"He wandered around the backyard… and went over by the pool and dipped his big paw in the water… and then climbed right in and laid down. He seemed so content and refreshed."

Black bears are the only bear type that exists in Virginia habitats and this was a fine example of one. He has certainly picked up a large fanbase across the world wide web since this video first went up.
