Ever since giving birth to her first child, Grace Warrior Irwin Powell, on March 25, 2021, 22-year-old Bindi Irwin and her husband Chandler Powell, 24, have been delighting their fans by posting cherished moments on their social media accounts.

The couple’s announcement of Grace's birth went viral as fans from around the world heard the news. As if the birth of the animal-loving couple’s first baby wasn’t special enough, Bindi and Powell revealed that Grace was also born on their first wedding anniversary.

Social media plays a big part in the couple's life. Bindi and Powell both use the medium to cherish each other as well as their families, and update fans on their conservation projects and efforts. Bindi has continued to share how the familial values that the Irwins hold dear, especially their love for nature and animals, have also impacted how she raises her daughter with her husband.

Recently, Bindi opened up and became emotional when thinking about the relationship her baby could have had with her late father, Steve Irwin. Bindi wished that Steve would have had the opportunity to meet Grace, and in a video clip that is a preview for an hour-long Discovery+ special "Crikey! It's a Baby,", Bindi was reduced to tears when talking about it.

On May 9, 2021, Bindi celebrated her very first Mother's Day as a new momma, and a beautiful post that included her father to commemorate the day. The late Steve Irwin continues to deeply impact his family, and his values and goals are continued by his wife, son, daughter, son-in-law, and soon, his granddaughter.

In a moving tribute to her father on Mother's Day, Bindi uploaded two portraits that included both her family and her husband's family. The portraits were created by artist "The Money Brush," who brought late dad Steve Irwin into the painting. The post was accompanied by a beautiful caption, which read,

"Celebrating my first Mother’s Day. This day embodies the extraordinary gift of family."

With both her and her husband's family in the post, it is clear that Bindi and Powell cherish family above everything else. Bindi also thanks the artist in her post by saying, "Thank you to ‘The Monkey Brush’ for bringing my family and Chandler’s together in these stunning works of art," and continued with,

"I wish we could all be together but sometimes life has other plans. ❤️To my beautiful daughter, always know that you are loved beyond description."

Powell, who is an American, is also far away from his own family as he lives with the Irwins family in Australia. He moved to be closer to Bindi in 2019 after the two had been in a long-distance relationship for almost five years. Bindi made headlines when she announced her engagement to Powell when she was only 21. The two met when Chandler visited the Australia Zoo, which is owned by the Irwin family, in 2013. PEOPLE reported that the pair "hit it off right away", and "haven't looked back since."

It is wonderful to see that both families are included in the Mother's Day post that Bindi uploaded. Bindi has expressed in the past that she dearly misses her late father.

The late Australian zookeeper, Steve, was best known for his charming role on the show "The Crocodile Hunter." The show was so successful that it appeared in more than 100 countries on cable television. The star was also a frequent guest on talk shows like "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" to "Live With Regis and Kelly." According to NBC, he died in 2006 at the age of 44 after a stingray pierced his chest while the star was filming a documentary. He is perhaps most remembered for his enthusiastic catchphrases like "Check out the size of this bloke!", "Whew, he's getting cranky!", "Isn't she a beauty?" and "Crikey!"

Since 2018, Bindi has amassed a following of her own fans through the Australian reality television show "Crikey! It's the Irwins." Robert and Terri — and now Powell — also appear on the show. Bindi and Chandler's journey throughout parenthood was documented on the "Crikey! It's a Baby!Discovery series that was premiered on Youtube.

In the premiere, Bindi got emotional thinking about how baby Grace will never meet her late father, Steve. Bindi said:

"It's hard knowing that she'll never get to actually meet him and it's devastating because I'll never get to watch their connection. But, I can not wait to be able to tell beautiful Grace all of these stories about dad, to be able to share with her what an amazing father he..."

With Chandler by her side, Bindi began to cry as she went on and said:

"It's going to be…it's going to be really special…It's going to be really special for her to know him through us, to tell her about what an amazing man he was...He would have loved her so much."

We wish Bindi Irwin a very Happy Mother's Day! What do you think of the beautiful portraits that she has released? Tell us your thoughts, and be sure to let others know about how Bindi has chosen to honor her very first Mother's Day.
