Bindi Irwin and her fiance Chandler donned khakis in honor of Steve Irwin Day on Friday at the Australian Zoo.

The late Steve Irwin's daughter and her 23-year-old fiance were joined by a crowd of revelers, and the singer Christine Anu was among them. The location of the event was the sanctuary on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland.

The 49-year-old singer gave a musical performance, and she was also inducted into the Zoo's Walk of Fame. As part of the ceremony, Anu left her hand impressions in cement. As the singer left her handprints in the ground, Irwin and his fiance watched cheerfully. Many of the fans of the Irwin family were there wearing khakis, and some of them were lucky enough to snap selfies with the couple and celebrate Bindi's famous father.

The young conservationist and her fiance also got to handle a giant Burmese python. The singer held onto the tail, and Bindi's 49-year-old friend Wes Mannion took control of the python's head. Some nice photos were taken of the couple cuddling each other and looking very much in love. The day before this event, Bindi had sent a happy word out on Instagram to wish Chandler a happy birthday.

Steve Irwin Day is celebrated annually on November 15. It honors the late crocodile hunter and conservationist celebrity to give meaning to his life and legacy. Irwin fell victim to an unlikely accident involving a stingray that pierced his heart with its barbed tail. The tragedy occurred during the filming of a documentary at Batt Reef.
