Beyoncé's Mother Tina Posted Pics Of Them As Babies, They Look Like Identical Twins

Tina Lawson (formerly Knowles) shared a remarkable childhood photo of her daughter, Beyoncé on Instagram on May 24, 2020. It was uncanny because it was also posted along with a photo of Tina as a baby, and the mother/daughter duo look just like twins back then.

You've probably seen a thousand pictures of Beyoncé. Having sold more than 100 million albums worldwide according to iHeart Radio, she's one of the most famous singers on the planet, and she's dominated countless headlines over the years.

Some of them were for her music. She's released many hits, including "Crazy In Love," "Irreplaceable," "Single Ladies" and more. She even rocked the entire music industry with a surprise release of her award-winning album "Lemonade."

Other headlines have been about her personal life. She married fellow musician Jay-Z after a highly publicized relationship, and the birth of her daughter, Blue Ivy, was celebrated from Toronto to Tibet. She gained equal attention for the birth of her twins Rumi and Sir. She actually broke several social media records with the baby announcement!

Her mother, Tina has been working tirelessly behind the scenes since Beyoncé's days as the lead singer of Destiny's Child. She used to hand-stitch the costumes that the girls wore on stage, and over time, she leveraged her talent into several successful fashion lines according to Encyclopedia.com.

Recently, Tina posted a picture to her personal Instagram account. It showed herself as a toddler in a sepia-toned photograph, and right next to her, she posted a modern, full-color portrait of Beyoncé at the same age.

Amazingly, they look like twins! They're both wearing frilly white dresses and bonnets. They both have the same dark hair and eyes. As mother and daughter, their genetics show through with their very similar features.

"Who is Who?" she posted as the caption. "Me and Bey as bonnet babies." Laughingly, she added, "i should have turned hers black and white! But don’t know how."

The comments were instant.

"Whew momma got those strong genes!!" one person exclaimed.

"Wow! It looks like the same baby on two different occasions," another marveled. "I hope when I have my first daughter she would be twinning me too! This is so cute!!!"

Other comments were more succinct.

"Beautiful family."

"Too cute."

"She stole your whole face!"

Several commenters joked about an unspoken tradition that they observed in the photographs.

"Why all us Black ladies got a bonnet baby picture?!" one commenter asked, adding a string of laughing emojis.

The pictures have collected more than 100,000 likes in just four days, and several media outlets have reported on them as well. Childhood photos of Beyoncé are already rare, but they're even more special when they offer a peek behind the curtain at the Knowles women and their bond.

Beyoncé and Tina have always been close. Though Beyoncé's father might have been the one leading the charge as her childhood manager, her mother played a pivotal role in guiding and supporting her as she grew into the ultra-successful star that she is today.

Beyoncé has never shied away from praising her mom, either. She even went viral one year for a touching letter that she wrote on Mother's Day.

"I would not have been able to do any of what I've done in my life without your strength, your wisdom and your prayers," she posted. "My biggest goal in life is for my children to feel the love you make us all feel."

Tina posts plenty of loving messages to her daughter as well. She also shares cool, never-before-seen photos like the baby bonnet duo. It's always a lot of fun!
