It has been a few years since finding out who the cast will be for the latest Disney remake, “The Lion King.” In 2017 we learned that Beyoncé would be joining the cast among other superstars like Donald Glover and James Earl Jones. Now, we have the very first trailer that features Queen Bey as Nala.

While it isn’t the first trailer for the film, this is the first time we hear Beyoncé voice her lines for the animated Nala. Her scene opens the trailer and we hear her speaking to Simba just like in the original cartoon movie. Although it’s only a few lines you can already hear the fierce but calm character of Nala shine.

The trailer drops just a few days after Beyoncé appeared at the Wearable Art Gala in a golden lion-inspired ensemble. The event was organized by her mother Tina Knowles and its theme was “A Journey to the Pride Lands,” reports People. Beyoncé posted a gallery on Instagram featuring herself as well as her daughter singing “Circle of Life.” In the post, South African TV host Minnie Dlamini commented: “Ok Nala we see you 😍.”

This will be another remake of a Disney animated film joining the just-released “Dumbo” directed by Tim Burton and “Aladdin” starring Will Smith. “The Lion King” opens in theaters on July 19.
