In the caption he says he wants to start the year off with “good vibes” and a “positive mindset.” He acknowledges that the past year had brought “tears, stress, and heartache,” referring to his step-grandmother Beth Chapman passing away.

“Now here we stand looking out at the horizon embracing the natural beauty and quality of life that we sometimes may take for granted because we get so caught up with keeping busy that we forget to enjoy the small things,” he writes in the post.

The caption finishes off with a reminder to keep pursuing your own goals, sending love to his fans and their loved ones.

Dakota Chapman is one of Leland Chapman’s three children, and Leland Chapman is Duane “Dog” Chapman’s son from his first marriage to La Fonda Sue Darnell. Beth, Dog’s 5th wife, passed away in June 2019 but still got to meet her step-great-grandson Asher and congratulated her grandson on the next generation of Chapmans in an Instagram post.
