Duane "Dog" Chapman, Beth's husband, confirmed back in 2017 in a Facebook post that Beth had been diagnosed with a T2 tumor in her throat where she would need surgery and undergo treatment. Since her first diagnosis and treatment, Beth's cancer returned in 2018 (the following year) when their attorney confirmed to USA Today saying, "The doctors say it’s serious and are evaluating her treatment options. We’re all hoping for the best."

Beth spoke at Source Church in Bradenton, Florida this past Mother's day about the difficulty in her cancer battle. “I don’t go to God and go, ‘Why did I get cancer?’ ” she said. “He’ll roll his eyes at me again because I know why — because this is the ultimate test of faith. It is the evidence of things hoped for and it is the substance of things not known.” The reality TV star also alluded to the fact that she may have stopped chemotherapy treatments.

“Chemotherapy is not my bag, people. Sorry, that’s not for me,” she said. “So for me, this is the ultimate test of faith. This is my ultimate lesson. And it will either be taught to me or to you. And I am fine with taking the hit for everyone else. Because I think I know another guy who did the same thing.”

In recent posts on Instagram, Beth has appeared to have lost a considerable amount of weight. Fans admired how beautiful Beth looks amid her battle with cancer. She captioned one of her posts, "Get up, dress up, show up, cancer will not beat me." Beth and her husband Dog starred in the reality TV series on A&E Dog the Bounty Hunter until 2012. They will be making a comeback on WGN America for a new show called Dog's Most Wanted. Beth shared a trailer on her facebook page for the show's upcoming premiere.
