Beautiful Young Woman Raises Eyes Mesmerizing Judges To Press Buzzer After 1st Notes

Every singer hopes that their performance will impress those present. It's especially so when your future singing career depends on your performance. While not everyone's performance gets an applause from the audience, one young woman, Somer Smith, got what most don't get when they audition.

In blind auditions, judges don't know what will be happening next. This is what motivates contestants to give the audition their all when on stage. Doing so helps them create a good impression to those listening and the judges. Somer Smith is one contestant who did exactly that. However, her voice was so beautiful that the judges had to press their buzzers in just a few seconds after she started singing. Not many contestants get such a quick reaction from the judges. Somer performed a 1905 hymn called His Eye Is On the Sparrow. The song has been recorded by several artists, but Ethel Waters' version is the most commonly heard. Ethel used the title of this song as her autobiography. In 2010, Mahalia Jackson received honors for her version of this song. Somer's version was also captivating. Her performance was slow at first, and her background added to its impact on those watching. After singing a few lines, the judges got drawn to her voice making them press their buzzers immediately. Three judges turned around while the fourth pressed his buzzer when she got to her higher notes.

Somer's family was in a different room during the performance. They got very emotional after seeing the judges' reaction to her song. Without a doubt, they were proud of her, and as her performance came to an end, you could see them fighting back tears. When she finished her performance, all the judges gave Somer a standing ovation as the audience clapped enthusiastically. With that, she joined Kelly's team. Later, she became one of the Battle Rounds contestants. Somer and Jacinta Gulisano performed against each other, but Sam Perry was the winner of the competition. Though Somer didn't win, she will be a very successful artist. She can captivate listeners with her performance. The young girl has a bright future.
