Bear Receives Human Hug He Needed After A Long Day

We all go through hard moments in life. After all, some days are just harder than others are, and a warm hug can mean the world after a hard day. That is what one bear received when he came home to a pair of loving hands.

You see, animals also have their hard days. They go through difficult moments 'at work' just like we do. And when this happens, they too want assurance that things will be better tomorrow. Imagine how assuring that can be for an orphan who has been rescued by a loving handler after losing his dotting parents. It must mean a lot to him.

Jimbo had such an experience at an animal orphanage in New York State. Orphaned Wildlife Center (OWC) was founded by two animal lovers who have dedicated their lives to caring for orphaned wild animals. As a result, you will find almost any kind of bears at the OWC, although the Grizzlies and Kodiaks stand out. This is because they are gigantic. But don't let their size fool you into thinking they are brutes.

As Jim and Susan Kowalszik, the founders of OWC discovered bears yearn for love just like you and I. They love it when someone appreciates them on their tough days. They appreciate it even more if someone offers to give them an affectionate hug during such times. They may be huge, but deep down; they are just as vulnerable as their human friends are.

And Jim has been generous with his hugs to Jimbo. Wait, did you notice that? "Jim and Jimbo" already sounds like a formidable pair. So close are they that they are often seen together cuddling at this center that rescues and rehabilitates orphaned bears. Jimbo is notably the biggest bear that the center has hosted so far. In this clip, he is filmed receiving a hug from Jim, his human friend and 'father'.

That was until Jimbo passed on in 2018. You can imagine how devastated Jim was. Fortunately, their special moments had been captured on video. In fact, you can watch one of these videos where Jim is embracing Jimbo tenderly. The center has 10 bears that they are taking care of and a duck. Sometimes, they also receive other animals, such as squirrels and foxes.

The handlers have made a website for each of these bears. In one of the truest expressions of human-animal love, these handlers have recorded every detail about each of the bears on these websites. This is the. The tenderness with which the animals are handled is also endearing. You will find some of the most exotic bears at OWC, against the common belief that you can only find them in Canada and Northern US.

Bears were shipped to the US to try increasing their number through breeding. Unfortunately, that program collapsed and the bears ended up with Jim and Susan. That's how Jim and Susan ended up caring for vulnerable animals. Watch the video of Jimbo and Jim hugging below. It is breathtaking, and a testimony of how kindly the bears are treated by these two handlers.

Wouldn't you love your friends to also read this story and watch this video of the hugest bears at OWC hugging Jim? Let them know about this amazing video so that they can also appreciate the importance of caring for animals, especially those threatened with extinction.
