Bear Falls Asleep In Closet After Entering Home

Jun 26, 2019 by apost team

A black bear was found snoozing away in the top of a closet in a Montana home after he had locked himself into the room. He had apparently made himself quite tired by destroying the residence.

The bear had entered a home that was locked with a deadbolt and somehow managed to lock himself inside of the laundry room. When he couldn’t escape, he decided a nap would be the best option.

His nap, of course, only took place after he had decided to tear up everything he could find. The Missoula County Sheriff’s Office was quickly alerted of the incidence in Butler Creek, but when the police arrived the bear didn’t seem to be too bothered. He even yawned when they tried to knock on the window to wake him up. Shortly after, he began to stir a bit and eventually got up and stretched a little.

The officers worked to unlock the door. Once they got it open, they hoped the bear would be ready to make his way out. But the bear only sat there tired, more yawns being his only response.

Eventually the tired bear was tranquilized since the police efforts didn’t seem to be making any progress. The bear, who was in good health, was relocated to a safe area where he can hopefully live happily ever after.

Police took initiative to warn others in the area to keep their doors locked and be on the lookout for bears. It was reported that the bear had previously tried to open doors to two other homes in the area!

That’s one way to get out of doing the laundry! What would you do if you found a bear napping away in your home? Be sure and send this story on to make someone smile today.
