Barbra Streisand And James Brolin Commemorate 21 Years Of Marital Bliss
Barbra Streisand and James Brolin's relationship stood the test of time as the couple just recently celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary on July 1st. They got married in 1998 after being set-up on a blind date.
Before the meeting, both Streisand and Brolin had been married twice before to other people with whom they had children. Streisand was single for a little bit before dating Brolin, “without being in despair, I was finally liking my solitude,” Streisand told People. However, that all changed once she met her future husband.
When Streisand and Brolin met at a dinner party, Brolin apparently fell in love with Streisand after she told him she didn't like his hair. "Because I told him the truth, most people don't tell the truth," Streisand said on the "Meredith Vieira Show." She said it took her a little bit longer to fall in love with Brolin. "A couple of months, and it just sort of happened," she said.
The couple married two years later. According to People, Brolin said at the couple's wedding,
“I can’t tell you how lucky I am that this would happen to me so late in life,” he said to the attendees of the wedding. “Every night is a new adventure. Sleeping is a waste of time. I can’t wait to see her again in the morning.”
