Former President Barack Obama posted a video on Instagram of his recent visit to the Washington Nationals Youth Academy's after-school program in D.C.

The lucky kids got to spend some time with Obama playing sports in the sunshine. The video shows him asking "Who's the quarterback?" before proceeding to get into teams to toss the ball around. The fit former President sent a perfect spiral to the other side of the field.

He also joined in on a pick-up baseball game and hit a few balls to the outfield. He jogged over to second base while the little baseball players went after the fly ball. He didn't hold back on any of his athletic skills, and the kids were absolutely delighted. Their families and friends were certainly not going to believe it!

Once everyone came in from the great afternoon, Obama had a few words for them recorded in the Instagram video:

"Work hard in school, listen to your coaches. You guys are going to do great things," he said. "I'm going to be on the lookout for you, because I think you're going to do something important. You guys are going to make a real difference."

According to the Academy's Twitter, "The Academy uses baseball & after-school enrichment to foster character development, academic achievement, and improved health among underserved youth in D.C."
