In response, former First Lady Michelle took to Twitter to show her appreciation for her husband on their special day. Michelle posted a photo of the two embracing while they looked over the ocean.
“27 years ago, this guy promised me a life full of adventure. I’d say he’s delivered. Here’s to our next chapter of becoming empty nesters and discovering what’s next—while still feeling the magic that brought us together all those years ago. Happy anniversary, Barack,” she wrote.
Barack and Michelle Obama married on October 3rd, 1992. They have since had two children, Malia, 20, and Sasha, 18. Both girls are now in college.
