Bald Bus Driver, 29, Cries After He Receives A Hair System

Adam Sinclair is a bus driver in London, England, who has spent many years feeling self conscious about the way he looks. The man has a growing bald patch that he has been trying to hide with ill-fitted hats that has left him feeling pretty low about himself. On top of that, the bald patch made Sinclair appear much older than he actually is; many people believed that Sinclair was well into his late thirties or even early forties, but the bus driver is actually only 29 years old.

Even though Sinclair’s confidence wasn’t very high, he was sure that this was just going to be the way he looked for the rest of his life. Friends, family members and even potential love interests had questioned him about if he ever wanted to get a hair system replacement or anything similar, but Sinclair stayed adamant that this was who he was. However, hearing the same comments for so long eventually wore on the friendly bus driver’s self-esteem, resulting in him finally looking into doing something to change the way he looked and hopefully find a way to feel better about himself.

After finally taking the chance to try out a hair replacement system, Sinclair received a life-changing transformation. His makeover was so incredible that it made him look years and years younger. The bus driver was so overwhelmed by his new look that he even cried after seeing his new head of hair. Novo Cabelo is a company that provides education in hair replacement systems and helps men and women struggling with permanent hair loss. According to their website, hair loss can result in “low confidence, low self-esteem, anxiety and depression.” It seemed like a perfect fit for Sinclair, as he had been struggling with his own self-esteem and confidence and had been feeling low for many years due to his growing bald patch.

Finally taking the leap and doing something to change the way he felt about himself, Sinclair went to Novo Cabelo to receive a hair replacement system. Before they could begin the makeover, members of the public in the surrounding area gave their “brutally honest” guesses about Sinclair’s age, as per the Sun. In a now viral video, many members of the public guessed that Sinclair’s average age was around 37 years old, with some even thinking he was 40 or older. In reality, the London bus driver is only 29 years old.

According to the Sun, Sinclair had been hiding his balding head since he was 19 years old by wearing hats that didn’t fit him well. People close to him would drop hints, advising him to consider getting hair transplants. “I’ve been asked if I’d consider this sort of thing in the past by partners but I’ve always been dead against it, saying ‘this is me,’’ Sinclair said. He explained that he tried to own his outward appearance, but it continued to lower his self-esteem.

The Sun reported that Sinclair had been looking into hair systems for the past five years, but was too afraid to go through with it in fear of what people might say. He didn’t want anyone to make fun of him for his new appearance.

Sinclair finally took a chance and got fitted for a hair system from Novo Cabelo on Aug. 18, 2021. The viral video showcased Novo Cabelo owner Rob Wood in the process of attaching a hair system to Sinclair’s head before finally showing everyone — including Sinclair — the big reveal. A hair system is a cap covered in thousands of real black hairs that are glued onto the skin, and it typically remains for up to one year, as per the Sun. Sinclair had been blindfolded for the entire transformation so the stylists at Novo Cabelo could get a genuine reaction from him, and boy, did they ever!

After the makeover was completed, Sinclair was finally able to take his blindfold off, and immediately began tearing up upon seeing his amazing new appearance. He was choked up as he stared at himself in the mirror, completely in disbelief at his full head of hair. “I didn’t recognize myself at first, but when I did, I liked what I saw,” Sinclair said. “It was the first time in years I liked what I saw.”

After his stunning transformation, most people on the street predicted that Sinclair was 30 years old. Since then, Sinclair has been busy throwing away all of his hats and even has a long list of potential dates to take out; his first one happened on Aug. 20, 2021, as per the Sun. “I didn’t know if he was going to like it or hate it, but his reaction was really emotional,” Wood said. “It was lovely to see.” As for Sinclair, he is currently over the moon with his new look. “I’m signed up for life now,” he said. “You’ll never catch me with a bald head again.”
