Last month, Down Syndrome of Louisville uploaded a video of its members lip-syncing to I Want It That Way by the Backstreet Boys that immediately started making rounds on the internet.

Down Syndrom of Louisville is a non-profit organization based in Louisville, Kentucky, that aims to offer services to people with Down Syndrome of all ages. The video, which has since garnered thousands of views, proved to be a great hit in their community. Last week Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys caught wind of the video and retweeted it, writing

“I see you guys 👀. GREAT VIDEO!! I’m working on a way to get you to meet us. 😊”

That’s when Down Syndrome of Louisville received a call from the Backstreet Boys to ask if they were interested in attending their show in Louisville last Friday. As well as free tickets, the band also arranged for a special meet-and-greet with the group before the concert.

"There were screams, one of them actually fell on the floor," Julie Torzewski, executive director of the group, told CNN. "They're uninhibited in their emotions, this is what makes them so special. They just embraced the moment, it bought them so much joy."

Kevin Richardson of the Backstreet Boys even sent a personalized video expressing his admiration for the group.  "The passion, the joy, the soul that you put in that video was inspiring," he said. Twelve members of the group, aged between 18-40, were able to attend the concert and meet the boy band.

"The experience felt great, said Sam Roach, one of the attendees, according to CNN. "It was one thing I've always wanted, to see them."

Sam, however, was not the only one who was grateful for the meeting. Following the event, Nick Carter tweeted

"It was so awesome to meet you. Told ya I'd make it happen."
