Baby’s Laughter As She Gets To Hear For The First Time Sounds Delightful

When 11-months-old Scarlet Benjamin who had been unable to hear was fitted with a hearing aid, she was able to hear for the first time and her reaction was more than precious.

Shortly after Scarlet Benjamin Athens, Georgia was born three months premature, she caught a disease in the NICU. The treatment process for the disease caused the newborn to lose her hearing abilities. 

Luckily Scarlet’s family didn’t give up hope and during the month that followed, they took her to see countless doctors to find a way that would enable their baby girl to hear again.

Eventually doctors were able to fit Scarlet with a hearing aid that made it possible for her to hear again.  

When Scarlet was finally able to hear again hear her mother and sister’s voices for the first time, she reacted totally adorable and let out the cutest laugh ever that made the whole family so happy. 

Seeing her baby daughter hear again even made Scarlet’s mother shed some tears of joy as she was filled with so much happiness and gratitude. She later posted the video of Scarlet hearing again on Facebook and commented: 

“It’s been a long and emotional experience. She reacted to most sounds so we thought she could hear fairly well. After what I witnessed today, it was not as well as I thought. Hearing aids make a world of difference. I am so blessed and thankful for Atlanta Hearing Associates in Milledgeville for all that they have done for our baby girl.”

It’s so beautiful to see the way Scarlet reacted when she first heard her family speak and we’re so happy that the young girl was able to regain her hearing abilities.
