Baby Girl Melts Hearts With Her 'Serious' Conversation With Daddy

Sep 16, 2021 by apost team

The time when babies are first learning how to make sounds and form words is so exciting. After waiting nine months for them to be born, and then several more months for their first word, the moment you first hear your child’s voice speak to you is so precious. A video from January 2020 shows a special “conversation” between 2-month-old Arabella and her dad Zac.

Arabella is at the stage where she is learning how to make sounds and her favorite person to coo away at is her father, and Zac is the perfect recipient. In the video, we see the dad holding Arabella in his arms with such love and devotion. He hangs on to her every “word” and even responds as if he knows what she is saying.

The video is sure to brighten your day as you take in the serious look in Arabella’s eyes as she pours her heart out to her father. The baby girl never looks away from her dad’s face as she expresses her love for him and tries to mimic the sounds he is making. It is so fun to watch a baby learn how to make sounds for the first time and to see the wonder in their eyes when they hear their loved ones speaking.

The channel that posted the video online shared that they are a young family from Christchurch, New Zealand. Arabella has three siblings, Daxton, Maddox and Lillie who also appear in videos. Keep reading to learn more and to see the precious video for yourself.

The video was posted to Youtube and it has over four million views and nearly a thousand comments. Arabella’s mom, Sophie, captioned the video: “I captured the sweetest moment between Arabella and Zac last night. She only just started to ‘talk’ - it's too adorable!”

Mothers usually get the majority of praise when it comes to bonding with their babies, but we think Zac deserves recognition for how connected he was with his daughter in that moment and how he gave her all of his attention.  A recent group of studies suggest that dads are just as capable of making meaningful connections with their kids as moms.

An article from Parents claims that dads also go through biological changes when their children are born, and this helps prepare them for parenting. “Fathers are endowed with parenting skills comparable to those of mothers, and just as their spouses' bodies change and hormones rage during and immediately after pregnancy, men may undergo significant hormonal changes to prime them for fatherhood,” the article stated.

Parents also mentioned that Ross Parke, Ph.D., director of the Center for Family Studies at the University of California at Riverside, tracked parental behavior during the first two days of children’s lives. His consistent conclusion after the years-long study was: “Men are just as attuned as women to a baby’s cues and just as capable of responding appropriately.”

The way that we see Zac connecting with Arabella in the video is proof that moms aren’t the only ones capable of forging special bonds with their children. Zac clearly has all the natural instincts necessary to be a great father, and Arabella couldn’t seem happier.
