Babies Have Priceless Reaction As Dad Blows Out His Birthday Candles

Babies tend to be more excited and surprised by things that we find ordinary, which is precious and entertaining to us as adults. The Busby family, famous for being the only American parents of all-girl quintuplets on record and for their show OutDaughtered, demonstrated just that in a video from 2016.

At that time, it was Adam Busby's first birthday with all the babies home, and the family decided they would celebrate with some cake. But when Adam blew out the candles, the Busby quintuplets had a bit of a freakout.

For one family in the US with all-girl quintuplets, every experience is new and exciting. This is no different when dad blows out the candles on his birthday cake during his family celebration.

With mom filming, the family begins to sing Happy Birthday and waits for the perfect time when dad is queued to blow out the candles on his cake, making wishes that he hopes will come true. While this is a big moment for the birthday boy (or dad), these quintuplet babies don't necessarily feel the same.

As dad pulls the cake closer and the song comes to an end, the gaze of these babies is focused on the dancing flames of the lit candles that sit upon the cake. Fixating on these candles as they draw near, the entertainment of these babies is extinguished when dad takes a big breath and blows them out.

At first, one little girl immediately begins to cry. Never one to act alone, all of the other quintuplets soon follow suit. Before you know it, most of the babies are crying in sync to their dad's elimination of their wonderful candle-lit show.

No one could have ever imagined that simply blowing out the candles on a birthday cake could illicit such a grand response. But, alas, nothing goes as planned when you have children. This is even more amplified when you have eight children in total, seven of which are the same age. Most things are new and exciting for these babies, but it turns out that was not the case at a simple family birthday part.
