On his personal property, Guidi set up a place for the homeless men and named it Second Wing Village. It consists of small houses and is located in Ithaca. After making several trips to Honduras Haiti for goodwill purposes, the idea of the initiative struck him.

In an interview with Innovation Trail, he says that he was not so well informed on the ins and outs of tiny living when he first decided to embark on the mission but acknowledges that he would now prefer that for himself. Guidi says that the men get a place to call home and a sense of respect that they cannot experience when homeless. He describes that at these tiny homes, they live like the place belongs to them. They are allowed to explore the area. They also have their own privacy as much as they live as a community.

Mr. Guidi checks on the homeless often. Astounded by the levels of poverty in the area, he brings them the good news of being able to live at Second Wing Houses where food and other basic needs are provided for them.

With grace, Guidi manages to reinvent the dignity of the homeless by supporting them with a home. This has also given him a sense of satisfaction and he says he won't give up. He has plans of doing the same for women and children who are homeless. He wants to build this somewhere else.

The Director of Urban Agency Ithaca City, Nels Bohn, confirms that Guidi is working with various organizations to ensure that they transform the homeless's lives for the better. It's a good thing that 40 of the emergency centers located in Ithaca have the required supplies that any homeless person may need.

Bohn goes ahead to say that the homeless have other detrimental problems that they encounter and should be helped. He notes that the homeless experience so many tribulations. That they somehow got themselves in that situation and they, therefore, need an opportunity to get themselves out of it.

In Ithaca, the state agencies always prioritize availing the funds necessary for a family crisis, addiction, and mental health, which is very commendable. He strives to reach more homeless people every day, and by that, he has plans of building safer homes for the course. The idea is for the homeless to use that period to get back on their feet. There's a waiting list of over 30 people if you are to be admitted to the cottage.

Guidi is a generous man and it's positively impacting others especially the less fortunate. He's also an inspiration to those with the means to do the same.

If we had someone like Guidi in every city, then the world would be a better place. This story of Guidi reaching a multitude of people could surely trigger a tsunami of change; a positive change. Be sure to pass this article on to others so that Guidi's story reaches as many people as possible!
