There are few movie stars as universally recognized as Brad Pitt. The actor is best known for his leading roles in some of Hollywood's most iconic films. Even though the actor turned 59 in December 2022, Pitt continues to be a huge box-office draw. As he pushes 60, it's clear that Pitt has come a long way since he entered show business in the late 1980s.

Pitt's breakout role came in 1991 when he starred in the film "Thelma & Louise" as a charming drifter. This led to more leading roles in films such as "A River Runs Through It," "Legends of the Fall," and "Interview with the Vampire." In the late 1990s, Pitt became a household name, thanks to his leading roles in hit films such as "Seven," "Fight Club" and "Ocean's Eleven."

Pitt has received numerous accolades throughout his career, including a Golden Globe Award for his role in "12 Monkeys" and an Academy Award for his role in "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood." He has also been nominated for three other Academy Awards for his performances in "Moneyball," "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," and "12 Years a Slave."

Despite his success, Pitt has faced personal challenges, including a highly publicized divorce from actress Angelina Jolie. Through it all, he has remained dedicated to his work and philanthropic efforts. Today, Pitt is not only one of the most talented actors of his generation but also a committed activist and humanitarian.

Now, the man of many talents – also widely regarded as one of the most handsome men on the planet – can also call himself a beauty king with the launch of a genderless skincare line called Le Domaine. Read on to find out his thoughts on aging and how his priorities are changing.

Pitt has accumulated a great fan following over the years, including his peer Quentin Tarantino. The acclaimed filmmaker described Pitt as "one of the last remaining big-screen movie stars. It's just a different breed of man. And frankly, I don't think you can describe exactly what that is because it's like describing starshine."

While Pitt has an impressive repertoire, the actor has revealed that he isn't sure how much longer he'll be in the acting industry. In fact, he considers himself to be on his last leg and is gearing up to slow down.

Speaking with GQ in June 2022, Pitt revealed that he isn't sure how much longer he sees himself as a working star in the entertainment industry. He said:

"I consider myself on my last leg, this last semester or trimester. What is this section gonna be? And how do I wanna design that?"

Even though Pitt has several projects in the works, it's clear that he is getting ready for a more slow-paced life. GQ reported that he now wakes up early to play guitar and drive up the coast to his beach house, where Pitt said he feels like he's "taking off a cloak or something." The star seems to be ready to embrace his full "authentic self."

Part of the changes includes growing out of bad habits, such as drinking and smoking. The "Troy" actor quit smoking during the pandemic and joined Alcoholics Anonymous following filing his divorce from actress Jolie in 2016.

"I had a really cool men's group here that was really private and selective, so it was safe," he told GQ.

"Because I'd seen things of other people who had been recorded while they were spilling their guts, and that's just atrocious to me."

Pitt has branched into the beauty business with his skincare line, Le Domaine. He told Vogue he wanted to change the conversation around getting older and dump the term "anti-aging." He said:

"Something we discussed (in founding Le Domaine) was this headline of 'anti-aging.' It's ridiculous. It's a fairy tale. But what is real is treating your skin in a healthy manner. And it's something I've learned to do for my business."

He added aging shouldn't be seen as terrifying:

"I don't want to be running from aging. It's a concept we can't escape, and I would like to see our culture embracing it a bit more, talking about it in those terms."

Pitt admitted his own routine is pared down as he "grew up with a country mentality, kind of you know, Dial soap once a day and then move on," but Le Domaine changed his views. "I've been using it for the last year and – truthfully – wouldn't have brought this to market unless I saw something, unless I saw a difference," he said.

Pitt's foray into skincare and the pandemic have also left a lasting impression on the star about self-love, self-care and loving others:

"The older I get, the more I think about quality of life, and time expenditure… I think after lockdown it seemed to be on a lot of people's minds, like, how are we spending our time, why are we grinding so much, what are we dedicating our lives to? And I think that family and friends at the end of the day is all that matters."

He added, "And I think that we're learning that if we love ourselves, if we treat ourselves a little better, then there are long-lasting benefits to that. So just age healthy, age in a healthy manner."
