By the 1990s, Anderson had already earned her first wave of recognition and was even a household name.

The star grew up in Canada, going to secondary school in Comox, British Columbia. She played volleyball in high school, graduating in 1985. In 1988, Anderson made the decision to move to Vancouver in an effort to pursue a career as a fitness instructor. A year later, she attended a sports game at the British Columbia Place Stadium in Vancouver, where she was featured on the jumbotron while wearing a Labatt's Beer t-shirt. The company loved her and hired her shortly after as their spokesmodel, launching Anderson's modeling career and ultimately helping her get featured on the cover of "Playboy" in October 1989.

"Baywatch" was an action drama series about lifeguards patrolling the beaches of California and Hawaii. Some of the show's main stars included Anderson alongside David Hasselhoff, Nicole Eggert, Alexandra Paul and Jeremy Jackson. After receiving plenty of negative reviews and being canceled following its first season, "Baywatch" miraculously survived through syndication and went on to become one of the most-watched television shows in the world. It became a pop-cultural phenomenon and helped catapult its cast members into stardom.

The show had some movie spin-offs, with Anderson reprising her role for the reunion movie "Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding" in 2003. During an interview with Ellen Degeneres in February 2011, Anderson talked about her work with Waves for Water, an organization her foundation supports. Waves for Water's mission is to solve the global water crisis.

"I'm very committed to my causes," she said. She then did a demonstration showing how to make filthy water clean through the use of a filter, showcasing the work the organization does on a daily basis. Anderson then drank the water to show just how safe and clean it really was.

The shelters were full, so the actress took it upon herself to adopt 50 dogs and 30 cats. "I spayed and neutered all of them," she said. She also made sure they received whatever shots and flea protection they needed. The animals were then sent to Virginia, where they were all adopted within 24 hours.

Anderson and Tommy got married on Feb. 19, 1995, after only knowing each other for four days. Their love was passionate, and they started a family together quickly after tying the knot. Their first son, Brandon Thomas Lee, was born on June 5, 1996. Their second, Dylan Jagger Lee, was born on Dec. 29, 1997. When her oldest son turned 18, she took him to his first red carpet. "He got so much attention," Anderson said. On May 2, 2023, Frankies uploaded a post filled with stunning white swimsuit photos of Anderson, just two days before the collection of swimwear line was released. The caption read, “surf bunny” 🏹🐰🏄‍♀️🤍 a super soft washed cotton like your favorite vintage tee, lined with swim fabric #pamxfrankies.”

Fans were ecstatic over the photos of Anderson as she looked absolutely breathtaking, especially with her fresh-faced appearance. One person commented, “No make-up..
