Jennifer Aniston is an American actress that rose to international fame for her role as Rachel Green in the hit series "Friends." Born to two actors, John Aniston and Nancy Dow, she came to acting early in life. While attending the Waldorf school, Aniston fell in love with acting at age 11. She later enrolled at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in Manhattan. There she was a part of the drama society and studied under Anthony Abeson. She was featured in a number of stage productions during her years at the school.

After high school, Aniston worked part-time jobs like waitressing and telemarketing to support herself while she performed in off-Broadway productions. She later moved to Los Angeles and appeared in a small role in the film "Mac and Me." She also appeared in the television adaptation of "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," called "Ferris Bueller," as well as a series called "Molloy." Both shows were canceled quickly.

Some of her other early films include "Camp Cucamonga" and "Leprechaun." She also guest-starred on the shows "Quantum Leap," "Herman's Head" and "Burke's Law." After being involved in two other failed TV series, Aniston reached out to her friend and head of NBC entertainment, Warren Littlefield, for help. He was able to help her get an audition for "Friends," and from there, Aniston's career took off.

In her personal life, Aniston has been married twice. First to Brad Pitt from 2000 to 2005, then Justin Theroux from 2015 to 2017. The star has never had any children and spoke out recently about how people's assumptions about her reasoning for that can be hurtful. Aniston hasn't publicly shared any new relationships recently, but people are still interested in her love life. In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Aniston shared her experience with people assuming she chose to focus on her career over having children. She said:

"I used to take it all very personally. And the whole 'Oh, she chose career over kids' assumption. It's like, 'You have no clue what's going with me personally, medically, why I can't… Can I have kids?' They don't know anything, and it was really hurtful and just nasty."

This discussion is reminiscent of a statement Aniston made back in 2016 while speaking with the Huffington Post. She shared:

"The sheer amount of resources being spent right now by press trying to simply uncover whether or not I am pregnant (for the bajillionth time... but who's counting) points to the perpetuation of this notion that women are somehow incomplete, unsuccessful, or unhappy if they're not married with children."

The star spoke about being a role model for young women who look up to celebrities, and one should not set a bad example by implying that getting married and having children is necessary for happiness in life.

Aniston continued, "We get to decide for ourselves what is beautiful when it comes to our bodies. That decision is ours and ours alone. Let's make that decision for ourselves and for the young women in this world who look to us as examples. We don't need to be married or mothers to be complete. We get to determine our own' happily ever after' for ourselves."
