Jennifer Garner is one of the biggest movie stars to have graced the movie industry with their fantastic acting skills. The actress, who started acting in 1995, has thrived in the entertainment world. She is renowned for her activism and down-to-earth mummy vibes, which she often portrays on her “Pretend Cooking Show.” She is also famous for her less is more approach to makeup, even out of her home.

However, Garner does not neglect her beauty routine, although she describes it as “low-key.” The actress is an ambassador for Neutrogena, a cosmetics and skincare company, and often shares beauty hacks. One tip she swears by is the use of sunscreen. She told Today that if there were one thing she could tell her younger self about aging, it would be a quote from Doris Day, which is, “Nothing looks better in your 50s than sunscreen in your 20s.”

The “Alias” actress revealed that she has bottles of sunscreen in all the doors of her car and rubs it all over herself and her children, including when they have a parting in their hair.

“If you have a part, use it right on the top of your head right on the part,” she said

Garner is also a fitness buff and takes her workout routine seriously. She gets up by 5:30 a.m., and to keep herself accountable, she does it with friends and coffee. She also prepares for the exercise the day before.

“I will lay out my workout clothes the night before. It’s not like I’m trying to put together an outfit, I’m just trying to take away anything I can that is a barrier between me skipping a workout and doing it,” she revealed

Being a big star has not removed Garner’s desire to be as natural as possible.

“It’s important to be in love with how you look without any makeup on and with your hair in a bun,” she told Marie Claire. “You don’t want to look at yourself in the mirror and be shocked at what you see because you’re so used to masking it.”

The Neutrogena ambassador disclosed that she prefers to wear light makeup or none because she wants her kids to see her how she really is.

“I want to look normal and I want to normalize looking normal,” she disclosed

Garner’s confidence in her natural self can be traced to her upbringing. The actress previously disclosed that her parents preferred the clean, natural beauty approach, and instilled it into her while growing up. Garner didn’t pierce her ears until she was 48 and wasn’t allowed to wear makeup growing up.

Her children have taken after her even though she allows them to explore as much as they want.

“They see what I value,” she told Marie Claire. “When they were super little and I would come home from work and the first thing they would say is, ‘Go wash your face! Your eyebrows are too dark,’” she jokes. “They want me looking like their mom who is in glasses and sweats and slippers and cooking them food.”

Meanwhile, the actress’ fans seem to agree she is on the right path. “They tell me I’m prettier in person than I am on screen,” Garner told PEOPLE. “... That is by far what I hear the most.”

Interestingly, the mom of three doesn’t pay attention to anything said about her on social media. She stays away from pictures and comments except on Instagram, where she believes there are much more nicer people.

Garner has warmed her way into the hearts of many through the years with her relatable and simple mom posts, particularly on Instagram.

On Sept. 10, 2022, the 51-year-old actress posted a clip of herself turning to look at her pants. It turned out that she spilled coffee at the back of her pants. Rather than hurry to change, Garner made a post to tease herself.

“Back to school hectic craziness = spilling coffee on the back of your pants. 😵‍💫 Staring at the walls over here. Happy Friday!” she wrote

Her fans couldn’t help but relate to the situation.

“The reality. I so relate 😂,” someone wrote

Garner often takes her son, Samuel, to school, looking simple and without makeup.

The “Pearl Harbor” actress also posted a picture of herself with her face bare of beauty products three days prior. She stood by the water looking peaceful as she took a selfie.

In another post, Garner wrote about meditating and looked beautiful with her bare face. Fans gushed about how attractive she was despite being make-up-free.

On Apr. 4, 2021, the beautiful Garner baked some rabbit-shaped dough and looked stunning in her white T-shirt, blue jeans, and bare face. Her brown hair fell over her shoulder as she smiled at the camera.

“Happy Easter! 🐰🥕,” the star captioned the post.

The actress had previously shared that whenever she has a bad hair or skin day, she drank water and sleeps.

“Pretty much every day is like that for me because whenever I go out, I get photographed,” she revealed and added, “By the way, I breastfed three times and it did a number on my skin—way worse than puberty. But normally it means I need to sleep more and drink more water to reset, and when all else fails, wear extra blush.”
