Princess Diana was universally loved by not only the British public but by people the world over. She used her influence to enact good, spending much of her time campaigning for humanitarian causes that improved the lives of others. She sat with sick people, helping to break the stigma of the then-new disease, HIV/AIDS. These are the reasons she became known as the "People's Princess" — she was a shining beacon of light in the royal family.

It's been over 25 years since she tragically passed away, but whenever we see photos of her, it's still incredibly moving. This is a testament to how much the public adored her, and she's still often talked about and even featured in the media, whether for her charitable deeds or impeccable fashion sense.

Her taste in jewelry over the years has also been incredible, and after her death, many of her pieces were passed down.

"I would like you to allocate all my jewelry to the share to be held by my sons, so that their wives may, in due course, have it or use it," Diana wrote in her will. "I leave the exact division of the jewelry to your discretion."

Diana’s daughter-in-law Meghan, also has good taste in choosing what pieces of jewelry she wants to wear and own. Like Diana, Meghan has been criticized widely by people, especially those inside the royal family. Fans were reminded of Diana’s elegance and beauty when Meghan’s portrait was posted online. Over the years, both Kate Middleton and Meghan have been seen wearing jewelry that once belonged to Diana. Prince William even proposed to Kate with his late mother’s engagement ring. Prince Harry chose to keep the ring after their mother's death but offered it to William in 2010 when William revealed he was planning on proposing,  according to The Sun.

Meghan has also worn some pieces that once belonged to Diana. Bustle reported that the first time that Diana was spotted wearing a famous gold and sapphire bracelet was in 1990 when she visited the Lord Gage Centre for Old People in East London. After this, she was also seen wearing the bracelet on numerous occasions. The bangle, or open cuff bracelet, is made of gold, and it has blue stones and diamonds on either side.

Meghan was first seen wearing the gold bangle to the Smart Works clothing launch, embodying her late mother-in-law's charitable spirit. After this, she was seen wearing the bracelet quite a few times as well.

The Duchess of Sussex has also been spotted wearing several pairs of earrings that belonged to her husband’s late mother. Diana had a few signature pieces that had diamonds studded into them. Meghan's engagement ring featured one diamond from Botswana, where the couple has done a lot of charity work, and two from Harry’s mother, Diana’s collection.

There are gorgeous jewels that are required for big events, and tiny but tasteful jewels that are needed for everyday wear, such as the butterfly earrings that belonged to Diana. They were and still are perfect to be worn for ordinary days.

Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, has been seen wearing another beautiful piece, an aquamarine ring that once belonged to Princess Diana. According to Vanity Fair, Meghan wore the ring while attending the 2022 Ripple of Hope Awards with Harry in December 2022. The event was hosted by the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights organization.

Meghan and Harry won an award in recognition for speaking out “against racism within the royal family.” They were also recognized for raising money for victims of the Grenfell Tower fire in 2017, using their platform Archewell to support the Black Lives Matter movement, and advancing gender equality through the Archetypes podcast.

The Duchess of Sussex was dressed to the nines at the notable event, where she wore a white off-the-shoulder dress with diamond earrings. Her look was completed with the stunning aquamarine ring that once belonged to her mother-in-law. Meghan had previously worn it as her "something blue” at her wedding in 2018, according to PEOPLE

According to Vogue, the piece was originally commissioned from Asprey by Diana using an aquamarine that her friend Lucia Flecha de Lima had gifted to her. PEOPLE reported that Diana wore the stone as a “replacement” for her sapphire and diamond engagement ring following her divorce from then-Prince Charles. The ring is valued at $90,000. However, according to the Royal Watcher Blog, Diana only publicly wore the aquamarine ring twice before her passing in August 1997.

Diana’s memory has continued to live on through her children and their wives, whether it be by spreading her important messages or wearing her stunning pieces of jewelry. Diana will certainly never be forgotten.

Ever since Harry and Meghan's controversial decision to step back as senior members of the royal family, their ways of life and actions have been widely and intensely scrutinized by many.

One talking point on social media was the couple’s move to relaunch their website, on which they used their official titles, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. People slammed the couple for using their official titles after they had seemingly disassociated themselves from the monarchy.

In light of King Charles’ cancer diagnosis, Prince Harry returned to the United Kingdom to be at his father’s side while Meghan opted to stay in California.

“Meghan made the decision that it was best to stay home with the children, and maybe she feels that this is something Harry has got to do alone,” King Charles’ former butler, Grant Harrold, told The New York Post. “It’s his father. She’s aware of the close relationship and probably encouraged him to come over.”

Meanwhile, Meghan earned praise and adoration from people on social media when her close friend, photographer Misan Harriman, shared a new portrait of her. The photo was posted to announce Lemonada Media’s partnership with Meghan's “Archetypes” podcast. Many gushed over Meghan’s “absolutely gorgeous” photo.

“She looks truly happy and relaxed. That says a lot about how you can put someone at ease. Wonderful photo!” one fan commented, while another described the actress as looking “truly happy and relaxed."

Some fans also noted how she embodied her late mother-in-law Diana in the portrait by donning an accessory — her watch — widely associated with her.

"Such a natural beauty. I'm so happy to see Diana's Cartier tank always on her hand. This was Diana's most personal loved piece and I'm glad Meghan has it,” a fan pointed out
