Ashton Kutcher is famous for performing in shows like “Punk'd” and “That 70's Show,” but he recently made the news for an entirely different reason. This remarkable actor has become a leader in the fight against human trafficking.

Nearly a decade ago, Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore created an organization called Thorn.

The organization's main goal is to end human trafficking. Thorn seeks to save victims of human trafficking and abuse.

In October, Kutcher appeared on “The Today Show” with Kathie Lee. Instead of talking about his new television show, he wanted to discuss Thorn's recent successes.

Since Thorn was founded, it has saved more than 6,000 victims of human trafficking. It has also recovered 2,000 actual traffickers.

During his years with the organization, Kutcher has noticed one commonality among victims.

Abuse victims are typically sold online like any other commercial product. Because of this trend, Thorn focuses most of its efforts online.

Over the last decade, Thorn has built digital tools to help. Since victims are sold and bought online, Thorn needed digital tools to fight trafficking. They have made remarkable progress in fighting human traffickers.

To achieve his goal, Kutcher has partnered with non-governmental organizations, the tech industry and the government.

His goal is to use technology to rescue victims and fight predatory behavior. Through these partnerships, Thorn is able to protect vulnerable children.

The organization has 20 members in the Thorn Technology Task Force. These tech companies devote their time, skills and resources to support Thorn's mission.

Some of the most famous companies in the task force are Google, Yahoo, Facebook, Microsoft, and Adobe.

Over the last decade, Thorn has compiled a lot of information about human trafficking.

Unfortunately, trafficking is so common now that you do not have to go to the dark web to discover it. You could find victims on a site like Craigslist.

In 2015, Thorn conducted a survey of trafficking victims. A shocking 75 percent of victims said that they had been sold online at least once.

With this in mind, Thorn created a tool that helped law enforcement officials prioritize their cases.

As a result of these tools, more victims were recovered. Traffickers were also discovered and charged with their crimes.

By the time Kutcher appeared on “The Today Show,” his organization had recovered 6,000 victims. More than 2,000 traffickers were identified and discovered.

One young girl, Asia, discussed human trafficking with the organization. Asia said that people are sold online several times a day.

They are advertised online like you would market a car. These ads include a picture, a price, and a description.

Thorn may have achieved remarkable success over the last decade, but Kutcher says that their work is not done yet. He wants to get rid of online human trafficking completely.

This goal may be difficult to achieve. One anti-trafficking group called Polaris believes that there are 4.5 million people trapped within the trafficking industry.

In Atlanta, Georgia, there is a trafficking industry worth $290 million.

It looks like Kutcher has a large challenge ahead of him to stop human trafficking.
