Nature's beauty is one of those things that never fails to inspire. This is also one of its most endearing qualities, showing visitors a constant type of stirring beauty. It feels extra special when someone engages with nature and adds something new that brings even more beauty to nature.

Thomas Dambo is no stranger to adding beauty to nature. As an incredibly accomplished Danish artist, Dambo has become well-known for making sculptures and placing them in the forest, not only adding beauty to the areas but drawing even more tourists to the more unique regions.

Though it might seem like making sculptures to place in nature isn't very environmentally sustainable, it's essential to keep in mind that Dambo only uses recycled materials when making his sculptures, his website says. This means that the sculptures don't require any new materials to be made, fitting in with the nature that surrounds them.

By creating art from recycled materials, Dambo can show people that—just like nature—some of the most beautiful things are the things that stick around for long periods, allowing themselves to be reinvented constantly.

Dambo thinks of his sculptures also through an activist lens, with his artwork being an excellent way for people to see how the world around them can always be utilized and recycled to create beautiful new things. In a world where we are so focused on the various finite resources that are at risk of being depleted, Dambo believes it's important to show people how trash can also be an excellent source of creativity.

The sculptures typically represent trolls, important figures in Norse mythology that also have a strong relationship to the woods. Because the sculptures appear to be made only out of wood, Dambo also communicates the cyclical nature of sculptures linked to their natural origins.

The most exciting part? Through building his sculptures and placing them in various forest areas, Dambo has been able to inspire many tourists and locals to visit areas they've never been to before, exposing them to the beauty of nature.

Thomas Dambo's sculptures are constantly pushing boundaries, showing how beauty is truly everywhere and trash is a wonderful resource.
