Artist From Missouri Says Her Art Is Inspired By 'Visions From Heaven' She's Had Since Age 4

The art of our children, no matter how old they are, is beautiful to every parent. What to others might look like abstract shapes or scribbles holds your child’s vision of how they see you, how they see the world and how they feel. They find a place on our refrigerators, office walls and always in our hearts.

For the parents of Akiane Kramarik, the art their little girl began to create impressed not only them, but the rest of the world, too.

At the age of 4, Akiane started hearing what she called “voices from heaven” and seeing complex images that she believed were from God. At such a young age, it was hard for her to describe in words what her visions actually were, so she began to draw and paint the images.

Amazingly, the pictures and paintings she produced were indescribably beautiful, and the skill used to render them was beyond what the average 4-year old was capable of.

By 6, self-taught and home-schooled, Akiane painted 6 days a week for several hours a day and was producing images of angels and Jesus, some of which are today valued at over $1 million. In an interview with Katie Couric, Akiane described her parents as atheists and explained that she had not been introduced to the concept of heaven before she began painting these extraordinary visions.

Moved by her faith and remarkable talent, Akiane’s mother could no longer deny what she could see with her own eyes, and she began a relationship with Jesus of her own. Today, Akiane is considered one of the top 20 living artists in the world!

Faith and the expression of faith go hand in hand. They are mutually beautiful and inspiring, and perhaps the story of Akiane and her mother will inspire you to express your faith in your own moving way. Encourage those you love to listen to her beautiful story so that they can see and create beautiful images in their souls, too!
