Igor Loskutow is an Estonian artist who has an ability to make incredible sculptures using chainsaws and wood. The award-winning sculptor hails from Germany and is a founding member of the Husqvarna chainsaw club. The group travels throughout Europe to place their incredible sculpting skills on display.

The sculptor's latest work of art is a wooden bench in the shape of a massive dragon. With only a chainsaw, chisels, and hammers, Loskutow was able to carve the bench in 2017 after only a few weeks of work.

The dragon bench is similar to another piece of art that he cut earlier that year. Loskutow chose to cut the bench from wood with a red tinge. This gave the dragon a fiery color. This masterpiece eventually won the Husky World Title in 2015.

When carving his works of art, Loskutow prefers to use large chainsaws. The Estonian artist began this hobby in 2002. The acclaimed sculptor started the dragon bench by carving the general shape and size of the dragon. Loskutow added small details on the tail and headpiece before continuing to the seat.

After completing the fine details on the tail and head, Loskutow carved the details in the wings. The sculptor also carved a clawed arm that is visible in the artwork. He even included some claw marks on the seat to give the bench a realistic edge.

To complete his piece of art, he added some final details and polished the seating area for comfort. Although Loskutow is technically Estonian, he was born in 1962 when the Soviet Union was in control of the area.

The artist moved to Germany in 2002 where he found his passion for carving with chainsaws. He found immediate success with his craft and was able to become a full-time, freelance artist within a year of moving to Germany.

Loskutow recently joined a group of five hunters who love to carve with chainsaws. This club is called Team Husqvarna. Andreas Martin, Florian Lindner, Jens Mielke, and Sebastian Siefart are the other sculptors in the group.

Although these dragon benches have skyrocketed the sculptor to fame, Loskutow has also carved a wide variety of other pieces. He has an entire series of benches that feature horses and owls among other animals.

Loskutow also specializes in carving standalone creatures and animals. Images and videos depicting his work can be found online.
