Argentinian Man Doing Chores Forced To Sweep Around His Very Lazy Dog

A man in Argentina is a pet parent to Lazy, a canine who lives up to her name. Or down to it, since she doesn’t get up much. Animals get tired, and of course, they need their rest as we do but there’s tired and then there’s…Lazy. She brings inertia to a new level.

In fact, Lazy is so... well, lazy, that when Lucho Bugallo tried to sweep his stoop, the labrador did not think it was reason enough to move. So Lucho did the only thing he could do – he swept around her.

Well, most dogs.

A video circling the internet has made a star of Lazy the Lab and she doesn’t even have to lift a paw. According to her owner Lucho Bugallio, Lazy’s primary activity is to flop down exactly where he wants to walk sleep, sit, or clean at the very moment he arrives.

“At home, we say ‘carpet,’ because it is lying on the floor all day,” Bugallo tells Time. “If you are going to move someplace, Lazy first lies down in that place. If you’re going to sweep the floor of the house, Lazy just lies down where you have to clean.”

Pleas to move fall on deaf doggie ears. Lucho used to try to get her to keep moving to another spot. However, the massive effort she makes to get in the way obviously tires her out too much to go anywhere else.

Lucho posted a video that captures classic Lazy at her best. He wants to sweep the leaves on his stoop, but guess who is having (another) nap. Lucho has learned it is easier to work around Lazy than try to move her.

The video shows him lovingly lifting her legs and gently sweeping under her. Lazy is awake and contentedly accepts the attention, not even lifting her head. Spoiled much? Yet pet owners around the world are relating to this man and his lazy dog. We all know our animal’s quirks and we do crazy things to make them happy. With over 11,000 likes and hundreds of comments, Lucho and Lazy have warmed the hearts of people around the globe.

Do people think Lucho indulges his canine companion a little bit too much? Apparently not, since most commenters praise his tender care and obvious love for his dog.
