The world of musical theater knows the name Andrew Lloyd Webber quite well. He is credited with composing a number of musical scores including Evita, Dreamcoat, Cats, School of Rock, and many others.

Perhaps the most famous work of Webber is Phantom of the Opera. The musical first played before audiences in 1986. The musical is still performed today throughout the world. More than 145 million people have seen the amazing musical in person.

Andrew Webber first met Anthony Banderas while Banderas worked on a film adaptation of Evita. Banderas, who was at the time most known for his work as an actor in action movies, played a lead role in the movie and surprised movie watcher with his performance.

Banderas and Webber developed a close friendship while working on the movie. Banderas was able to bring joy to fans once more when he was invited to sing at a celebration to take place at Royal Albert Hall in honor of Andrew Webber's 50th birthday.

Bandera took the stage to perform Phantom of the Opera and he was not by himself. Sarah Brightman, an original cast member of the musical, joined Bandera.

Bandera's powerful voice boomed throughout the auditorium from the moment he began to sing. Everyone sitting in the audience felt chills while listening to the performance. His accent was perfect for the song and Banderas proved once again he is much more than an actor who fits only in action movies.

Fortunately for us, the performance was captured on video for all to enjoy. And there is no doubt many will do so over and over again.
