Angelina Jolie’s Son Knox Celebrated Graduation With a Surprise Announcement

Jun 12, 2026 by apost team

Most high school graduates celebrate with family dinners, parties, or one last night with friends. For Knox Jolie-Pitt, graduation day looked a little different. The 17-year-old son of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt marked the milestone by walking across the stage at his Los Angeles high school graduation before an audience that included his proud mother.

Photos from the ceremony showed Jolie enthusiastically cheering him on and taking pictures as he addressed fellow graduates. But while many students were likely thinking about summer plans after receiving their diplomas, Knox had something much more unusual on his schedule. During a speech that a fan account later shared online, he revealed that the evening’s celebrations would be short-lived because another major event awaited him.

“Tonight, I’m gonna be fighting at Total Sonic Knockout 5 at 12:45 a.m., so catch me,” he told the crowd, drawing immediate cheers and laughter.

The announcement surprised many fans who may not have realized just how seriously Knox has pursued combat sports over the past few years, TMZ reported. Total Sonic Knockout is described by organizers as a hybrid combat-sports and rave event, making it one of the more unconventional settings for a graduation-night appearance.

Still, for those familiar with Knox’s growing interest in Muay Thai, the decision likely came as less of a surprise. While graduation represented the end of one chapter, it was clear another challenge was already waiting for him before the day was over.

Just hours after accepting his diploma, Knox swapped his graduation attire for boxing gloves and stepped into the ring. Photos from the event showed the teenager trading punches and kicks with his opponent during the Muay Thai competition, continuing a passion that has become an increasingly important part of his life.

The sport is hardly a new hobby for him. In 2025, Knox won the IKF Point Muay Thai Technical competition in Los Angeles, earning support from both Angelina and his twin sister Vivienne, who were spotted cheering him on from ringside. While much of the public attention surrounding the Jolie-Pitt children has often focused on creative pursuits, several of the siblings have quietly developed interests outside the entertainment world.

Shiloh, for example, gained attention for her dedication to dance after choreographer Kolanie Marks praised her work ethic and commitment to mastering a demanding movement style. Knox appears to have found that same discipline through martial arts.

And judging by his confidence at graduation, he had no intention of easing into the next stage of life quietly. Before leaving the stage, he gave classmates and supporters a final update on where he would spend the rest of his evening. Then, with the confidence of someone ready for a completely different kind of test, he delivered the line that quickly got everyone talking. “I’m gonna knock ‘em the f— out!”
