Comedian Andy Kaufman is known to make people laugh, but on a performance during The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson in 1977, he went one step further. Dressing up as Elvis Presley, Kaufman performed a song and nailed his Elvis impersonation right down to the rock star's mannerisms, drawing fits of laughter from the crowd.

Starting off as another character with a high-pitched voice, the hilarious Andy Kaufman has already drawn laughter from the crowd. Timidly he announces that he will do an Elvis impersonation. He then turns away from the crowd and makes a few adjustments to his outfit, revealing a jumpsuit underneath his clothes, just like how The King used to wear.

When he turns to face the audience he grabs his guitar and swaggers around the stage like a true performer. He soon gets ready to sing, and somewhat surprisingly, a deep, robust voice not unlike Elvis' comes out. He takes his impersonation one step further by emulating Elvis' mannerisms, including curling his lip, shaking his shoulders, holding one arm out from his guitar, and more.

He eventually puts down his guitar and begins dancing across the stage, showing off some moves that'd even make Elvis jealous. He then ends the performance by taking his embroidered jacket off and throwing it into the crowd of screaming fans. A true comedian that knows how to deliver a punchline –– at the very end, Kaufman returns to the microphone and still wearing his glitzy Elvis getup, exclaims "Thank you very much" in his original high-pitched voice, causing the crowd to erupt into laughter.

Andy Kaufman's performance proves he can do much more than just make people laugh, or rather that he can do much more while making people laugh at the same time! A true man of many talents.
