Angel was 25-years-old and working in a restaurant when she became pregnant. Unfortunately, she wasn’t able to work due to her pregnancy, so the company let her go. By that point, she was pregnant and broke, with no other options available than to move into a local homeless shelter.

For two years she lived there with her three young children. During that time, it seemed as though she would never find her way out of her dilemma.

However, her luck was about to change.

You see, Angel has an amazing work ethic and wonderful attitude that was able to catch the eye of someone who could make a difference. What happened next would change her life, and the lives of her young children, for good.

Angel was employed by Modell’s Sporting Goods, located in New York City. While on the job, she was given the task of training a new employee. What she didn’t know was that she was going to unknowingly appear on an episode of a famous reality show called "Undercover Boss."

The new employee, “Joey,” wasn’t who she thought he was. He was actually the CEO of the huge sporting goods company, Mitchell Modell, and he was simply acting a part for the show. He came into the store with the story that his pizza shop had closed down and that he was in need of a job.

While Modell was being “trained,” he was amazed at the way Angel acted. He loved how enthusiastic she was and how important customer service was to her.

When he found out she was homeless, he was appalled.

When he revealed the fact that he was the CEO of the company and was giving Angel a promotion to assistant manager, she was shocked. But when he gave her a check that night for $250,000, she fell on the floor. Modell stated that he wanted her and her children to move out of the homeless shelter as soon as possible.
