Life can be unexpected, but sometimes the biggest blessings come from the most unlikely of sources. When everything seems to be going wrong, all it takes is one special thing to turn your entire world around. That was the case for one mother named Jessica Nash Donnahoo when she needed the help of an internet technician at her home. Jessica is the mother of a son who has special needs, and she knows all too well that some days are better than others for her son.

On March 16, Jessica was becoming impatient and overwhelmed about her duties as a parent. Her 2-year old daughter needed to be taken care of, her house needed to be cleaned, and her son with special needs was having a bit of a tantrum.

If you’re a parent, you can relate to her struggle. Sometimes it seems like there just aren’t enough hours in the day to get everything done when you have children. Little did Jessica know that the most unexpected source was about to turn her day around!

The hero that brought happiness into her day was named Robert. Robert was an internet technician assigned to come to her home and help her install a service with Spectrum Internet. After his visit, Jessica decided to write about the experience with the company on social media.

The post went viral immediately and warmed the hearts of people around the globe. Jessica wrote about how Robert came to her home to begin streaming television in the residence. But when Robert arrived, the family was in disarray. Her son with special needs, Sailor, is only three but was born with two separate brain defects that are extremely rare. Sailor is also blind.

Because of his condition, Sailor has difficulty describing what he needs or wants to his mother, and because of it, had been crying all day. Jessica was trying to tend to Sailor while also taking care of her young daughter and keep up with the housework.

It seemed like a daunting task and the day just kept getting more overwhelming for Jessica. But things changed when Robert entered their home. Sailor saw the man and instantly ran to him, reaching out for affection. Robert appreciated the gesture and immediately picked the boy up to hold him.

This adorable display of affection continued for the entire duration of Robert’s visit, and he was even able to make the boy stop crying!

Jessica was able to get some work done around the house while Robert soothed Sailor. Jessica knew that tending to children was not in Robert’s job description as an internet technician, but was thankful for the kind gesture. Robert’s customer service surely went above and beyond for this family on a day that they needed it most.
