Amy Schumer is sharing the truth behind her recent transformation, opening up about the treatments that have made a real difference for her body and energy levels. The comedian has been using estrogen and progesterone to manage her perimenopause symptoms, along with Mounjaro, a GLP-1 medication often prescribed for type 2 diabetes and weight loss.

She explained on Instagram, “My symptoms of being in perimenopause have disappeared. My hair is fuller, my skin is better, I have more energy. I’m having a really good experience, so I wanted to keep it real with you about that.”

Schumer has never shied away from being honest about her journey, including her struggles with Ozempic and liposuction. Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, she said: “Everybody on camera is doing this s---, I just wanted to be real about it.” In public interviews, she also addressed the harsh realities behind popular weight-loss trends, making it clear that transparency matters.

She has emphasized that weight loss is only part of the story, and taking care of her health, energy, and well-being is what truly counts. Her commitment to honesty sets her apart, showing fans that the process behind her transformation is just as important as the results.

Schumer’s trademark openness now extends to sharing the visual milestones of her transformation. On Oct. 5, 2025, she took to Instagram to post a photo from a trip to Las Vegas with friends Alex Saks and Jillian Bell. Dressed in a chic Miu Miu button-down mini shirt dress paired with black heels, her noticeably slimmer figure drew instant attention. Fans and celebrity friends filled the comments with praise and surprise.

Skincare expert Georgia Louise enthused, “Amy … legs need to come out more!!!” while director Lee Daniels added:

“Skinnnnnnnny mommmmma.”

“Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Margaret Josephs also joined in, writing:

“Ok legs for days!!”

Beyond the glamour, Schumer has been strikingly transparent about the difficult side of her weight loss. She revealed that her experience with Ozempic left her bedridden and unable to even throw a ball for her 6-year-old son, Gene David, whom she shares with her husband, Chris Fischer.

Speaking to Howard Stern, she explained: “I have this gene, GDF15, which makes you extremely prone to nausea, which is why I was so sick during my pregnancy… But other people take it, and they’re all good. So, God bless them.”

By speaking so frankly about both the praise and the pain, Schumer has turned her health journey into a source of connection rather than perfection. From her public candor to her resilience, she continues to inspire fans with a refreshingly honest approach to wellness and self-acceptance.
