When you mention Amy Schumer, you are bound to receive a number of reactions, both good and bad. Not everyone loves the outspoken comedian and soon-to-be-mother. Many people have related to what she said about pregnancy being very unglamorous, but others downright hate everything about her.

This happened after Amy told the world that her new husband, Chris Fisher, is actually on the autism spectrum. There has definitely been a lot of backlash after her statement.

We will soon see Amy in an hour-long comedy show called “Growing.” In it, she will be opening up about her relationship with her husband, who she married last February. The pair are now expecting their very first child, who is due to be born sometime this year. The gender has yet to be revealed.

Amy will be talking about her husband in her Netflix special. One thing she talks about is how she knew right away that Chris’s brain worked in a different way than hers. She spoke to Entertainment Tonight about how much she loves her husband and how she is desperate to get everything right.

Amy told the news station that Chris has autism spectrum disorder, a condition we used to call Asperger’s. She said that there were many signs early on in their relationship, but that a lot of things dawned on her once he was formally diagnosed. She said that all of his special characteristics were actually the reason that she fell deeply in love with him.

According to Amy, her husband is not afraid to go against social norms and tell it the way it is. She stated that he has no problem saying whatever is on his mind.

The backlash started when commenters had a problem with the fact that Amy decided to tell the public about his condition. Some critics pointed out that she was on an anti-vax skit that made fun of those who are on the autism spectrum. Others were even cruel and made jokes at her expense.

Some issues should be off limits. It isn’t necessary to make fun of someone because of their choices. Regardless of how anyone feels about Amy, some comments were completely unnecessary.
