Amy Adams is a beloved American actress who many fans have grown to adore over the years. She has a wide array of talents in her acting repertoire as she has starred in a number of films and TV series in different genres. Adams is just as likely to make audiences laugh with her great comedic wit as she is to make audiences cry with her incredible strengths as a dramatic performer.

Adams was born on Aug. 20, 1974, in Vicenza, Italy, and moved around a bit before finally settling down with her family in Colorado. She first began her career as a dancer before finding her way toward acting. Finally, in 1999, Adams made her film debut with a supporting role in the dark comedy "Drop Dead Gorgeous." Shortly after, she went on to land more supporting roles in films and TV shows before making her big break in the comedy-drama "Junebug" in 2005.

Adams' career only escalated from there, and she began to become a household name thanks to the 2007 musical fantasy film "Enchanted." In the film, Adams portrayed a singing and dancing princess-to-be named Giselle, who is desperately searching for her prince charming.

In real life, Adams has been fortunate enough to find her own prince charming. As someone who is so busy with her career and has continued to climb the ladder of success, finding love was just the cherry on top for Adams. More importantly, she found someone who doesn't try to compete with her success and instead praises her for all of her wonderful work. When it comes to acting, it seems that there is no role that Adams cannot handle. She has starred in films and TV shows in a litany of genres and has continued to showcase more and more talents as the years progress. Some of her most popular works include "Junebug," "Enchanted," "American Hustle" and "Big Eyes." Over the course of her career, Adams has received many awards and nominations, including two Golden Globe Awards and six Academy Award nominations.

Speaking with Elle in 2008, Adams talked about her inspiration for playing Giselle in "Enchanted." She said:

"People say, 'Why did you make her so earnest?' And I'm like, because you play her for truth. You play her like you're doing Shakespeare. Everything she says is important to her. I always play comedy like drama. I don't feel like I'm doing two different things. I just think that you commit."

With such a successful career, it's not surprising that Adams has built an empire for herself. According to Celebrity Net Worth, the actress has an estimated net worth of $60 million. She is also considered one of the highest-paid actresses in the world.

While Adams has definitely made her mark on the entertainment industry, she has also made her way into the heart of actor and painter Le Gallo. The pair first met at an acting class back in 2001 and began dating a year later. They got engaged in 2008 and welcomed their daughter, Aviana, in 2010. However, many more years passed before Adams and Le Gallo finally tied the knot in a private ceremony in 2015. According to E! News, the wedding took so long as both Adams and Le Gallo had very busy schedules.

Adams has been a respected actress in Hollywood for several years and has made a remarkable impression on her peers. During an interview with USA Today in 2008, Adams’ “Doubt” co-star Meryl Streep had nothing but fond words to say about the red-headed actress.

“Amy has a little light on inside her that burns – sometimes a soft light, sometimes a hot little blue flame, but you are aware always of the light,” Streep said. “It is her immediacy as an actress, that present quality that makes her special.”

Actress and producer Frances McDormand said that she was in awe of Adams when they first met back in 2006. She also praised Adams’ work ethic, especially during their time shooting “Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day” together in London, England. She explained, as reported in the same USA Today article:

“I pride myself on being someone who never keeps production waiting. I come from small theaters where you had to be on time. But every time I showed up on set, she’d already be there. So I asked her how it is that she continuously beat me to the set. She looks at me and says, ‘I never leave.’ She’s involved in the production, and she knows everybody’s name. She comes with her A-game every day.”

Adams’ dedication to her career could be intimidating to others at times, which is why it was so important for her to find her supportive partner Le Gallo. Speaking with the Guardian, Adams was sure to credit her husband for being so supportive. “We have a friend who said to him, ‘I couldn’t do what you do, I really couldn’t,’” she said. “What, show up for your wife? That’s really sad. But, you know, he has sacrificed a lot.”

While Le Gallo has worked on several projects over the years, including the TV series "Six Feet Under" and "The Big Bang Theory," his career never really took off in the same way that Adams' career did. Fortunately, he has been an incredibly supportive partner over the years and has never shown a trace of jealousy regarding Adams' career or her on-screen partners. "We have trust," Adams said. "It's important. It's a rare and wonderful quality."

Le Gallo has continued to stand by Adams' side and praise her for her success over the years. Speaking with Vanity Fair in 2008, Adams expressed her gratitude for a partner like Le Gallo. She said:

"He's not competitive with me. He has a wonderful talent, and there aren't many people in the world who are like that, where he does not think that my success is his failure. He just doesn't see it like that, and I don't either."

Le Gallo has also been understanding of Adams' busy schedule and her desire to take the roles she falls in love with. Adams said that her partner "understands that it's important to take advantage of those, and he really supports me."

Adams has not only found a great partner and source of support, but she has also found the person that makes her feel like she's right where she belongs both in her professional and personal life. "It's really important to have someone to remind you who you are," she said. "I'll run all over but come back to him, and I know who I am."
