This day in history will never be forgotten. This day was a very devastating but also very important day in American history. One day back in 1963, JFK's funeral provoked emotions from the majority of people there. Everyone was typically sad but there was some surprising emotions that were stemmed by his three year old son. He proudly saluted his dad's casket as it passed by.

The military presidents saluted as the casket passed by and little JFK Jr. followed their actions. It's said that before the casket was brought out and before the famous salute took place, Jackie Kennedy had quietly said something in the little one's ear.

No one knows what was said. It was never revealed.

Maybe it was encouragement to do the salute, maybe not, we will never know. In 1963, on November 22nd, John F. Kennedy, our 35th president, was assassinated. This took place in the city of Dallas, Texas. His death occurred from receiving a fatal gunshot in the head by Lee Harvey Oswald.

Inside of the emergency room is where JFK was pronounced dead. His funeral occurred a short three days after his assassination. Over the last several decades, conspiracy theories have arisen.

Some include a theory that Oswald did not commit this crime alone. By theories, it has been revealed that there have been 214 accusations of JFK's assassination. That is a lot of accusations and we will likely never know the complete truth.

JFK Jr.'s birthday just happened to be on the same day as his father's funeral which was November 25th, 1960.

JFK Jr. followed in his father's footsteps. He worked in politics and also identified as a member of the Democratic party. Unfortunately, JFK Jr.'s life was not a long one.

He was traveling by a small plane to his cousin's wedding at Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts. His was accompanied on the aircraft by his wife, Carolyn and also his sister in law, Lauren Bessette. When the plane didn't arrive on time at the airport, it was reported missing.

Their bodies were found by Navy divers, on the bottom of the ocean floor just a few days later. At the time of his death, JFK Jr. was only 38.

The Kennedy family has had to deal with more grief and loss than what is considered normal for most families. With many wonderful moments in their history, it is sad that we only have photos here to help us live through those moments and remember people.

This is exactly the case when it comes to the famous salute from JFK Jr. His salute will always be remembered as such an honorable thing a toddler, and son could have ever done.
