Amber Heard Confirms Move To Spain With Her Daughter While Waiting For ‘Right’ Hollywood Project

Amber Heard, the actress known for her role in "Aquaman" and her controversial marriage to Johnny Depp, has recently broken her silence regarding her decision to relocate to Spain with her 2-year-old daughter.

Contrary to earlier reports claiming that she has quit Hollywood for good after losing to Depp in a defamation trial, Heard revealed in a new video posted on TikTok on May 14, 2023, that she is still actively involved in some film projects while making Spain her permanent home.

The video, which has received over 7.7 million views so far, was filmed during an impromptu interview with a local reporter in Madrid, as Heard openly said that she loves living in the country. In fluent Spanish, the actress gracefully attempted to conclude the interview by thanking the media team for their time and expressing her pleasure in meeting them. However, before parting ways, she was asked about her upcoming film projects, and Heard confidently replied that she was moving forward in her life and career.

Heard had her debut in Hollywood in 2004 in the sports drama film, "Friday Night Lights." She landed a lead role two years later for the movie "All the Boys Love Mandy Lane," which launched at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2006.

However, her role in the 2008 comedy-action movie, "Pineapple Express," made Heard recognizable to a broader audience. After starring in more notable films, she snagged the role of Mera in DC's iteration of the massive superhero flick "Justice League" in 2017.

Sometime in 2012, the Texas-born star began dating Johnny Depp while filming "The Rum Diary." They got engaged in 2014, married a year later, and then she filed for divorce after five months of a turbulent union.

After her court battle with Depp, Heard embarked on a trip to Palma de Mallorca with her daughter, Oonagh, in September 2022. She has since been spotted enjoying various playdates around Spain.

Speculation arose that the actress had permanently left show business when a friend allegedly revealed that Heard plans to raise her daughter away from the public eye. Sources told Daily Mail in May 2023 that Heard is happy to raise Oonagh in a new country.

“I don’t think she is in any hurry to return to work or to Hollywood, but she will probably come back when the time is right for the right project,”  the friend said

Heard's last project was the sequel to "Aquaman," which will be in theaters at the end of 2023. She hasn't been in any production since, but her name was attached to the upcoming movie “In The Fire.”

Meanwhile, the buzz on Heard’s plans to write a "tell-all" book about her and Depp has been getting louder, given that her Hollywood career has stalled and her finances are in trouble.

"She's already in talks and is excited about it," sources told OK! Magazine. "At this point, she has nothing to lose and wants to tell all."

However, a divorce lawyer also warned that Heard could risk losing everything if she plans to write her memoir knowing that her ex-husband's lawyers will be scrutinizing every detail. If so, she could find herself back in court again.

Despite the intense scrutiny and public attention surrounding her personal life and the trial with Depp, Heard has not shied away from engaging with her fans. Just a few weeks ago, she was seen signing an autograph for a fan while taking a walk in Madrid, demonstrating her continued connection to her supporters.
