Jean told GMA that she was fearful of the disease and did not like seeing her husband in pain, "For me, it’s when I see him in pain and I can’t help him." Jean also talked to People about her beloved husband saying what a great person he is.

“He’s got a great sense of humor,” she said. “He takes his job very seriously, but won’t take himself too seriously. He’s also youthful - He’s just an intelligent human being,”

In addition to seeking the latest in chemotherapy and other medical treatments, Trebek’s family has worked hard to beat cancer. Jean practices Reiki, a form of energetic healing that involves meditation. She also practices sound healing using her voice, which Alex Trebek finds healing.

"The human voice has so much power and healing," Trebek told GMA.  As for Jean, she believes the universe is continually working toward every person’s best interests.

"I am absolutely sure that we live in a benevolent universe that is always conspiring for our highest and greatest good."

We hope Alex Trebek's fight against cancer continues to be this successful! Our best wishes go out to him and his wife and family as well as everybody else who is struggling against this disease.
