Alex spoke with the press saying that he had just been through about 9 or 10 sessions of chemotherapy. He is bravely going through treatment while he still hosts his ever-popular game show at the same time. He is often left feeling dull and tires easily, but he describes the adrenaline that kicks in from continuing his work.

"I leave home and I’m in terrible shape sometimes," he says to USA Today. "And then I get here, and I get in the studio and I get hair and makeup done and get my wardrobe on, and the adrenaline kicks in and I go out onstage and it’s exciting for me, and it seems to work. I have to push myself;  I work harder than I did before, because it’s harder for me to concentrate with all the chemo and stuff.”

The host is cautiously optimistic saying that he feels OK but would love to see a new drug that will let him grow his hair back. Referring to the chemotherapy, he says:

“...it’s wearing on me. but I don't have any choice. I just have to stick with it,” to USA Today.

Fans and audiences are supporting Alex as much as possible, and one “Jeopardy!” contestant even scribbled a note to him during the game itself.

Dhruv Gaur wrote a message saying “We love you Alex” as his Final Jeopardy! answer which led to a viral hashtag on social media. The gesture clearly touched Alex as he choked up with tears on the TV show.

Please send Alex Trebek your thoughts and prayers as he goes through this difficult time, and tell others about his health update as well.
