Dec 04, 2018 by apost team

Can dogs and babies be the best of friends? This Alaskan Malamute certainly thinks so! Many dog owners when bringing home a new baby might have questions about how the dog will react to the new baby.

Will the dog be jealous? Will the dog be gentle? Will the baby be scared of the dog?

This adorable video answers these questions for dog owners and shows that dogs and babies can be a great combination.

Dude, a sweet and lovable Alaskan Malamute makes it clear that he will be a terrific big brother. Dude eagerly awaits the arrival of his tiny new family member. When his dad walks through the front door carrying baby Savannah, Dude is immediately introduced to the baby. The gentle giant peers into the baby carrier to sniff baby Savannah, and when asked to say hi to the baby, he lets out an excited howl as if he is saying "Hello!"

He then gently nuzzles his dad. He goes on to howl happily with a great big doggie smile a few more times when his mom and dad tell him to say hi to his new sister. Dude continues to poke his nose into the baby carrier to familiarize himself with his newest family member.

Have you ever seen anything cuter? This beautiful, sweet dog is calm yet excited at the same time! It appears to be instinctual.
