AGT's Blind Singer With Autism, Kodi Lee, Is 'Magic' Says Talent Judge Gabrielle Union

Kodi Lee the singer/musician who blew judges away during his first audition on the "America's Got Talent" recently performed in the live shows portion of the series. The judge, Gabrielle Union, who gave him the golden buzzer on his first audition sending him all the way to the quarterfinals opened up about how Kodi is changing the world. 

22-year-old, Kodi Lee, is a pianist and singer who happens to be autistic and blind. Lee stole hearts when he performed for "America's Got Talent." Lee put on another brilliant performance during the live show that yet again had everyone emotional. He sang "Bridge Over Troubled Water" by Simon and Garfunkel while playing the piano.

 Gabrielle Union told Kodi after his performance, "Who you are and what you stand for and what you continued to do makes the world such a better and so much more of a beautiful place," Gabrielle said.

"We have to stop putting limits on our children. We have to keep believing in each other. Thank you for letting me be a part of your journey,"she continued. 

Union also opened up to People about Kodi's life-changing audition on the show. “He’s making people believe in something they didn’t even know is attainable. He’s magic,” Union told the entertainment magazine. 

Kodi's original performance on youtube has garnered more than 43 million views while his latest performance has already hit over 6 million. Kodi’s family fought to make sure that he had a stage to be brilliant on — whether that stage was in their living room or on the world’s biggest talent show,” Union continued. “They never stopped fighting for him, that’s huge.”

Kodi’s mother, Tina Lee, also told People about Kodi, “Just to see the way that people are accepting him and loving him, it’s magical. I feel relieved I’m not the only one who’s seen this extraordinary ability. He’s got a real talent, and I’ve always known he’s this real talent.”
