The legendary American folk-rock duo, Simon and Garfunkel, reunited in 2009 at the 25th Anniversary Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Concert at Madison Square Garden to give a rare live performance one of their greatest hits, “Sound of Silence,” in front of a huge audience.

With their band, Simon and Garfunkel, singer-songwriter Paul Simon and singer Art Garfunkel were one of the most famous recording artists of the 1960s. Even though they parted ways in the 1970s to each pursue a solo career, their songs have become classics and continue to be covered by artists from all over the world.

Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel reunited at the 25th Anniversary Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Concert at Madison Square Garden on October 29, 2009, in New York City for a special live performance of  “Sound of Silence” even though the band had split up decades ago.
