Tragedy looms despite good intentions; its hands stretch to anyone, anywhere and at any time. One minute you are living the life you desired, the next minute you have nothing. This unfortunate story has become a familiar tale in the San Francisco Bay Area.

With the recently mushrooming of tech-savvy companies around the area, the cost of housing has escalated. Currently hosting wealthy families, the area has houses that demand an average rent of about $3,000. The tragedy followed Nicole Jones, a single mother of two, when she couldn’t manage to cough up the rent rates to keep her home.

She has been forced to rent a car garage for $1,000 that houses her two children. Astoundingly, Nicole has managed to convert the one-car garage into a self-contained room with a bathroom and kitchen.

She knew deep down that the internet would help her thrive through this trying period by sharing her homelessness and housing tragedy. Unluckily, the news did not get a great response from the public. She faced harshness with people telling her to vacate and relocate elsewhere.

While talking to CBS, Nicole revealed that she had never experienced anything like homelessness at first hand. She had never understood how the homeless got themselves in the situation until she became one of them.

Nicole adds that she may be homeless owing to the fact that she is in the process of finding employment as well as taking care of her two children.

However, the situation could change should Nicole find a decent job as before.

The mother of two has spent $750 on housing application fees, but she couldn’t find a willing participant. Despite receiving negative feedback, Nicole doesn’t expect empathy. She quotes that she will continue trusting the process as long as she can provide for her two children and offer shelter.

Nicole is an epitome of confidence and strength, all wrapped in one package. It's encouraging and moving how a parent toils beyond means to see the kids have all the necessities.
