After Sea World Closes Doors, Staff Allows Sea Lion Visit All Other Animals At Oceanarium

New footage from Sea World Australia shows just what's going on at the aquarium while no visitors are there. After remaining closed to the public since March 22nd, the caretakers at the aquarium decided to let Birri Junior the sea lion visit some of the ocean neighbors in the aquarium.

The staff at Sea World in Gold Coast, Australia decided to get creative while taking care of the animals with people no longer visiting from the public. They filmed the trip of their sea lion, Birri Junior, walking around the aquarium to meet and greet the other ocean animals that have been the sea lion's unvisited neighbors for so long. This idea was just one way to spend some time and spark some joy during the park's closure since March 22nd due to the global health pandemic.

As the sea lion waddles through the aquarium corridor and through an ambiance of blue, he does so surprisingly with ease. Birri Junior is quick on his feet for being a sea lion, and his caretaker friend leads him to a sight he has never seen before. They gaze in awe together from the visitor's side of the aquarium glass.

Birri Junior seems to enjoy the scenic view from the aquarium and his body language really gives away his enthusiasm. He stares in fascination as he observes how the other sea creatures swim through the water. The reversal of perspective is captivating. While a manta ray approaches the glass, Birri Junior continues to watch the fish and his caretaker pats his back throughout his unique experience.
