After Picking Her Daughter Up, Young Mom Is Furious To Find Out That The Day Care Workers Taped The Little Girl's Shoes To Her Feet

Most people do their best to choose a child care center that they trust. After all, your children are being left in the hands of strangers - of course you hope and pray that the workers watching your child are caring and professional.

In most centers, children are well-cared for and loved while their parents are away at work. However, you’ll soon see that this isn’t always the case. Read on for a story that will shock and disgust you.

Jessica Hayes is the mother to little Addison. When this young mother picked her daughter up from a daycare in North Carolina, she realized right away that something was very wrong. Addison was crying and she could tell she was in some sort of discomfort.

She saw that Addison had swelling on her feet, along with very noticeable bruises and red welts surrounding the girl’s little ankles. Addison, who is only 17-months-old, was not able to tell her mother what was wrong. However, Jessica quickly saw why she was crying.

Her shoes had been tightly taped to her feet, and the tape was digging deep into her skin, causing the red welts and bruises.

Addison had just learned a new skill, which was pulling her shoes off of her feet. This is something that all babies seem to do at one point or another. However, the daycare workers were getting annoyed by her new skill.

The two workers decided to “fix” the issue by taping her shoes to her little feet. They taped the shoes on so tightly that there were bruises and red marks all over the little girl’s ankles.

After Jessica realized what was wrong, she got in contact with the director of her daycare. She asked to look at the video of the incident to find out exactly what had happened during the day.

Jessica was eager to share these photos online in the hopes that parents would pay more attention to what was going on in their own daycare facilities. Most people supported Jessica, although some got angry that the shoes she bought seemed to be too big for her child. 

However, Jessica was happy to warn people to be aware of what was going on behind closed doors.

The post brought an apology from the daycare director and both employees were consequently fired. The little girl will still attend this same daycare center. 

It’s a good thing that this story has a happy ending. However, many kids cannot defend themselves or even speak up about the daycare center they are in. Jessica hopes that her story will open their eyes to potential abuse and neglect.
