After Parents Tragically Pass Away, 4 Orphans Must Spend Night In State Custody—Instead, Trooper Drives Off With Them

Donald and Crystal Howard took a trip to a store on Halloween in 2015 so that they could get candy and a few other supplies for their children so that they could all go trick-or-treating. Their children didn't know that they would soon be orphans.

As reported by WSBTV, Donald and Crystal were involved in a car accident and were both killed. Trooper Nathan Bradley sat with the children after learning about their parents and waited for their grandmother to arrive to take them home with her. Unfortunately, it would take a few hours for their grandmother to get to the house.

Trooper Bradley wanted to keep the kids out of the custody of the state for as long as possible if they were unable to stay with their grandmother, so he took the children out on Halloween night.

The officer took all four children to a local Burger King and McDonald's so that they could get something to eat and a few treats. After they ate, Trooper Bradley took them to the police station so that they could take a tour. While they were there, the kids watched a movie and read some of the magazines available.

Instead of delivering bad news, Trooper Bradley was an angel for four children who lost their entire world at one time. The children found out what happened to their parents the next day, but were able to enjoy a night of fun until then.
