After Mother Leaves Family, 6-Year-Old Daughter Has To Care For Disabled Father

The love between a parent and a child can never be underestimated. A child would do everything to see their parent smile, and a parent strives so hard to see their child live the life they deserve. No matter the circumstances, you know you can always be there for each other.

So, you would relate to this story of a young Chinese girl who holds so much love for her father. The story, edited initially by the South China Morning Post, discusses a problematic ordeal of 39-year-old Tian Haicheng.

Tian was carrying out his normal daily routine when he decided to go collect his paycheck. Unfortunately, the taxi he was traveling in had an accident and the next thing he knew, Tian was in the hospital fighting for his life.

Life can be very unforgiving. Tian woke up in hospital recuperating from a broken neck.

The saddest news was that he wouldn’t recover from the paralysis. Tian’s head, neck, and arms mobility were significantly limited. It was going to be a huge change for Tian and his family. What’s worse was Tian couldn’t receive much help from his parents as his father had to cater to his farm to earn an income for his family. His mother, on the other hand, couldn’t be of much help suffering from cataracts.

Tian’s daughter, Jiajia, age four, became the greatest support his father could ever ask for. Living with depression and stress from having to be dependent on his parents, Tian considered committing suicide.

Thankfully, little Jiajia came to the rescue.

After watching her grandparents take care of her father, she knew how to take over the caring part. With a heart full of love, Jiajia stepped into the big shoes and helped her father continue living.

Reports from the Daily Mail narrate that the four-year-old wakes up at 6 in the morning with one task in mind; massage therapy for his father’s stiff muscles.

She then helps him out of bed and onto a wheelchair to help him start his day.

Despite her young age, she understands the importance of having a parent, and she doesn’t take it for granted.

Jiajia’s story has touched so many hearts, especially with her tender actions. And for that reason, the family has been receiving donations from good Samaritans to help with survival and therapy.
